The Prescott Playboys Newsletter
September 2010

Well Hello to all you music lovers

Life is good and the music keeps the heart beating. We sure had a great time at the Raven Café in August. Bix Glidden was back from his school vacation and playing those great fiddle tunes.

Ken Heide and I will be in Amarillo from the 14th thru the 19th attending the WSMSS Showcase. It should be a lot of fun getting together with friends from the Bob Wills Days in Turkey, TX.

The August trivia question answer to: Who recorded a 1973 number one hit called  ”Til I Get It Right”  was Tammy Wynette.

We had a great time playing music at the Greater Arizona Country/Western Swing Music convention this past month. The greatest time was the part where they presented our great fiddler, Ray Gardner with a Hall of Fame Award. He is so deserving of the award.

Ken and I will be taking Ray to Wilcox, AZ the end of this month for the annual Rex Allen Days celebration. It should be a good time since Ray grew up there.

We played to a full dance floor at the Moose Lodge on the 20th of August. It is great to see people enjoying good dance music.
